If you’ve got a stubborn knot that won’t go away, it could be due nerve irritation. Stubborn headaches and constant tension through your neck and shoulders aren’t normal and can be difficult to shift. We treat a lot of patients who have tried numerous ways to get rid of these knots- spiky balls and dry needling sometimes just doesn’t do the trick.

A particular nerve that we find is quite often the culprit is your accessory nerve which can become irritated at a number of points through your neck such as your SCM, your traps, and your levator scapulae muscle.

We use manual therapy and shockwave to free the nerve, reduce irritation and get rid of those pesky knots.
