TIM EDWARDS

Dr. Tim Edwards graduated from RMIT in 2003 with a double degree in Chiropractic Science/ Clinical Science and moved to Western Australia to start work in 2004. Dr. Tim does not use what would be considered traditional chiropractic treatments. He has travelled to the USA multiple times to receive extra training in diagnosing and treating soft tissue dysfunction and adhesion with Integrative Diagnosis. This training has given him a valuable insight into the biomechanics of injury and rehabilitation. He is the only practitioner in Perth and one of only a handful of practitioners in Australia with this training.

Dr. Tim enjoys staying active having completed the City to Surf marathon, the Mandurah Half Iron Man and the Busselton Half Iron Man. He understands the needs of both the casual and professional athlete. This has all gone by the way side since becoming a dad…

LUKE O’NEILL

Luke O’Neill has a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from the University of Notre Dame. He has completed additional training in the USA to develop his diagnostic, injury treatment and rehabilitation skills. Luke has a keen interest in sports biomechanics which has led to him becoming certified as a Racquetfit medical professional. This skillset allows Luke to assess the efficiency of a tennis players serve and is recognised by the USPTA. It also provides valuable insight into the biomechanics of other sports with a rotation component such as golf, hockey and sports that require throwing.

Luke has worked both manual and desk roles in the construction and agricultural sectors in a previous life, allowing him to understand the loads placed on the body in various workplace environments. He likes to keep himself fit and active with boxing, tennis and the occasional game of golf.

ELYSSA JOHNSON

Dr. Elyssa graduated from Murdoch university with Distinction in Bachelor of Chiropractic Science and Clinical Chiropractic. Elyssa has been a part of the Spine and Sport team since 2018, working as a therapy assistant during her time at university. This allowed her to partake in thousands of patient encounters which helped develop a deep understanding of our unique method and strengthened her treatment and diagnostic skills.

Growing up in Perth, Elyssa has always been heavily involved in sports with a special interest in water polo. Having sustained many of her own injuries over the years, she is able to understand the physical and mental challenges that come with pain and injury.

Elyssa has 6 years experience as a sports trainer having worked for numerous football clubs across Perth, as well as treating athletes at sporting events such as the Rottnest Swim, Uni Games, as well as multiple triathlons across Perth.

She has also undergone further training to become MSTR® certified, meaning she can treat scars and scar tissue that has formed as a result of injury, surgery, trauma, etc.

Outside of the clinic, Elyssa leads an active social life and loves to camp and explore WA’s beautiful beaches.
